Ingvild Bolme Design Team Shares ...... and a change of direction.

Well it's been a long time since I shared my work, there have been alot of changes in the wind for me.  Firstly we have moved house and are now settled in at Mt. Barker but the major job of moving and re-settling really shook up my normality, and hence the absence of projects from this blog.  In addition I am embarking on a photography career, with my focus on dancers.  This is such a natural progression for me being a ex-professional dancer, and being able to capture bodies in motion is both a delight and a challenge.  So as a result you won't be seeing a great volume of work come out of my studio.  However, I couldn't imagine life without scrapbooking so I am continuing with Ingvild Bolme, creating with her beautiful products over the next 7 months.
She is my DT of choice, so suited to my style and creative neiche.

Just wanted to share some work that I have created for Ingvild.
This first layout has a shabby chic romantic style all rolled up in one Christmas layout!  I used the Winter Memories Paper from Tilda (which I adore) and lots of spellbinders !!  The chipboard title and flourish are new releases from Imaginarium Designs.

Lots and lots of pretty layering !!!

Two beautiful frames captures the sweet picture and the bird looking down at my Madison in, where both frames draws our attention to the two most important parts of the layout. I have added so many details - fussy cutting, punched edges and details, paper flowers, glam, stamps and so on, beside the resin embellishment from the Shabby Chic Treasures that you will find pretty much everywhere on my work.  I admit it, Im a resin addict !!!!

This last layout is again of Madison and her calisthenic coach Brooke.  I have used Prima Paper from the Delight Collections and more gorgeous resin.

Thank you so much for heading over here.  If you managed to find your way after SO long, I really appreciate it.  Have a beautiful and blessed Christmas.

Prima / Ingvild Bolme Design Team Blog Hop

Welcome to the Prima / Ingvild Bolme Design Team Blog Hop !!!  I am thrilled that you are participating, there are some amazing projects for you to see.

Ingvild has designed some amazing new products for Prima for the new Summer Release, and I would just love to share some of my favourites with you.

So here is my contribution to the Blog Hop.  I have used so many of Ingvild’s products and I just wanted to show you how adaptable they are to use on any project.

This little garden chair was one of my favourite releases from the Shabby Chic Treasure Range, its so quaint and just adds a little whimsy to the project.

Beautiful resin corners, covered with Pastel Blue Chalk Edgers.  How shabby chic does this resin
look ?  And the chalk edgers are so easy to apply.

I have altered a Shabby Chic Treasure Fairy with the new Chalk Edgers in Pastel Pink and Pastel Blue to custom colour the resin to blend in with the papers and embellishments.

Please go over and check out the other Design Team Members Blogs as their projects are absolutely beautiful.

Thank you so much for coming over and visting my blog.  I really hoped you loved what I created, it's really not that hard using Ingvild’s beautiful products.

Welcome to National Scrapbook Day

Happy National Scrapbook Day Ladies and Gents ..... and welcome to Prima's International

I just want to share with you today, a project that was up on the Prima Marketing Design Team Blog last week, and a project that is SO easy to create.   All you need is a beautiful Prima vine, Ingvild Bolme's gorgeous Shabby Chic Resins and Junkyard Findings, some Prima Flowers.  You can custom color it according to your studio or home decor and it makes a gorgeous present for Mother's Day.

So here is the finished dome...... the dome actually is a cupcake dome which I bought at a
South Australian cheap shop for A$5 !!

Here is what it looks like inside.  The window has a transparency behind it to allow for some extra detail and layering, and the window is just adhered to the base with a hot glue gun.

I especially loved fiddiling with the top of the dome, this vine is simply wrapped around the knob and secured with a little hot glue.  The pink rose and birdy are adhered lastly.  They just add that little touch of whimsy to the project.

Down the bottom I have added a Ingvild Bolme clock and hands and some more beautiful Prima Flowers.

I really hope you loved this project as much as I loved creating it.

I seem to be on a dome oddessy at the moment, and I have this project coming up in full detail on my blog soon.

Please, Please go and visit Stephanie Miller & Solange Marques -  being on the bottom of the list we often miss out on traffic, and I'm sure she has created something absolutely gorgeous for you to look at.  Here is the list again, just in case you have missed out any of the designers and their amazing works.

Lastly but by no means least, don't forget ......

Classes start at 9 am ET and run all day long! Most of them are held at the Prima office (excepting Cari and Sharon) and all will have a live chat moderated by Prima starlets.

Thanks so much for taking the time to come and visit .....

Mixed Media Madness

Hey guys, firstly I want to say thank you to all the wonderful ladies that left me a congratulations comments for my new DT. You guys make me feel so wonderful - you need to know that.

Ok, down to business. Some shares for this week .....

This layout was created for the Prima Blog for our Multi Media Week.  I have used the Hello Pastel range and the gorgeous Blue Fern Chipboard Clock.

I have used Golden's Light Molding Paste (which I ADORE) with a Donna Downey 12x12 Stencil.  You can see the results in the close up, and I just love the extra raised texture and what it does for your design.  The mix of watercolors are from a watercolor pack down at my local $2 shop.  Awesome ha ??  I love the way the colors run into each other without contaminating the solid block of color.  Yum.

The next share was my take on Prima's monthly "Pinspin" OTP project.

So I saw this little gem, made from a cake tin.  I mean how fantastic is this idea.  My jaw dropped.  Anyhow since I saw this picture i have created three of these.  So here is my verision for Prima.

Using Jodie Lee's Divine Range.

My last share is a layout I created for CHA, which seems like an eternity ago.  Again I have chosen to use the Divine Range from Prima.  Just can't seem to get enough of it.

Short and sweet post.  Thanks so much for dropping by again.  Have a wonderful weekend.

Guest Designer: My Creative Scrapbook

It seems like such a long time ago that the delightful Delaina Burns asked me to be GD at My Creative Scrapbook.  Unfortuntely due to other commitments it took nearly a year to guest design but I was finally locked in for March.  I had the gorgeous and versatile Limited Edition Kit sent out to me, containing Webster's Pages Modern Romance Papers & Embellishments, and Kaisercraft Secret Admirer Papers.  They were a beautiful combination together, and I just would love to share my 4 projects with you.

I created two layouts, the first one using a photo I have been busting to use for a LONG time now.  It never fails to amaze me how you never get around to scrapping "that" photo that you fell in love with when you took it...... Anyhow the rich colors work really well with the lush colors of the papers on this layout.

A tag using my beloved Spellbinders ..... sigh ......

A card ....

and one final layout.  I loved this one, because I could combine the elements in the kit with some of my fav. Rhonna Swirls printed onto transparency.  It just seemed to finish off the layout for me.

I used some Melissa Frances crepe paper to make these rosettes.  Here is a how to ....
1.      When you take your MF Crepe Paper out from the packet, make sure that it is still folded over two or three times before cutting.  Cut into the paper at about 2" from flush and continue on to the reach the end.  Open up paper to reveal a long strip of crepe paper.

One
2.      Select the biggest stitch on your sewing machine.  Proceed to sew down the middle of the crepe paper.   If you don't have a machine you can hand stitch the paper in long  loose stitches, but the machine is definitely quicker !!!!
Two

3.      This is roughly what your crepe paper will now look like.
Three

4.      Hang onto the threads and gently push the crepe paper down so it starts ruffling.  Gently guide the ruffles down to the end of the thread and continue from the top again, repeat this process until all your crepe paper is ruffled.  You can control the appearance of your ruffle by how tightly you push the crepe paper together.

Four

Then once ruffled all you have to do is punch out a circle, lather with glue and arrange your ruffle in a circle - its that easy !!!!  I have popped embellishments on the top just to secure the crepe paper and make it lush and pretty mirroring the layout.

OH and before I forget .....  CONGRATULATIONS
LIZZY C !!!!!!!

You have won my RAK girl !!!!!!

HI.. It is really wonderful to see your work again, I love your feminine style and soft colors and layers of embellies! I have been a fan and follower for ages!! I am just happy to see you back posting again.. and the photos are gorgeous.. what a contrast of the soft feminine dresses against the aged iron and stalky hay bales.. beautiful!

Email me your details and I will get the surprise package off to you soon !!!!

A Big Thankyou to everybody that left a comment .....

Everybody have a wonderful week ...... and thanks for visiting.
