Mum's just gotta snap .......

It's been a while since I took some photos of the girls, so we packed up my camera bag and headed off to Mt. Lofty Botanic Gardens (where hubby works) for a picnic.  I just adore it up there, the scenery is absolutely beautiful this time of year, everything so green and lush .... so perfect to get photos.

Em is becoming much more confident now her teeth are straightening up.... I mean she is no stranger for posing for photographs, but as her adult teeth revealed their true nature, she stopped smiling for the camera.  Even now I have to remind her to smile, and I can't help but adore her radiance when she smiles naturally.

I love this photo of Emma and Mark, you can just see Mark, but the story of their relationship couldn't be more beautiful than the way this photo captures the moment.  She really is a daddy's little girl.

As for Miss Madi, she wasn't in the mood for photographs.  I had to coax her, bribe her and just about beg her to pose for me, and I only ended up getting a few good shots.

I did however get some super photos of them together, Madi feels so comfortable posing with Emma, and the results are usually magic.  I have been experimenting with light lately, and its always such a challenge with the two of them because Em being so light in hair and skin color and Madi being the exact opposite.

Life has settled down a little since my hard decision have been made, and now I am solely designing for Prima and Seriously Scrapbooking.  I feel more focused about what I am doing and slowly I am starting to get more direction in my life.  My layout below is my November layout for Pink Pasislee using the gorgeous Artisan and Portfolio Collection.  The icing on the cake was using the Heidi Swapp Color Shine.  Trust me this is just not a plug for PP.  The HS Color shine is GORGEOUS.  The color is amazing.  I just love it.  The best thing is that it has a little metal ball in the bottom of the bottle so the applicator doesn't get blocked.   Its amazing how a little feature like that can totally make you happy.

I was completely blown away by the marriage of the Artisan Collection and the Heidi Swapp Color Shine, the hues are SO vibrant and outrageous I just fell in total love with them.  I adore the way my Artisan Pieces came up after they were sprayed, and the way the colors intermingle with each other to create secondary colors is absolutely beautiful.

I used the Color Shine in Mint Green, Tropicana Teal and Chartruese.  I found that when I sprayed the Artisan Resist Paper, by using a baby wipe the colors blend in beautifully, and you can wipe the excess of the “resist” sections with ease.   Just remember that not all baby wipes are created equal, just check to see which ones are not to moist, as they will buckle and distort your paper.

I found when it came to applying color to the Artisan Squares, a paint brush worked beautifully.  I just sprayed a couple of spurts into an empty lid and dipped my paintbrush into the color.
